New Facebook Tracking Pixel

Hello there! I’m Hannah, the newest addition to the Prolifik team and self-proclaimed social media guru. If you are using our team for social services, I’ll be one of the team members working with your brand to make your social media dreams come true. I also hope to make the dreams come true that you don’t even know you have, because let’s be real, social media changes faster than a Kardashian’s hairstyle. Our job is to keep up with these dynamic trends so that you don’t have to. You have your own job that you’re trying to keep track of… Am I right?

In addition to calling myself a social media guru, I could also classify myself as a cyber stalker… and by that I mean I really love to creep on the average demographic of your target audiences. When I know more about them and their social habits I can leverage social media to reach your audience in an engaging way. Here at Prolifik, we utilize a Facebook pixel that allows us to do exactly this and make all your social media dreams come true. So how do we start this cyber stalking?

The Facebook pixel. No, this is not referring to the pixels in an image you display on Facebook. I’m talking about an advertising tool through Facebook that has been around for quite awhile, but was recently revamped to make social media advertising more efficient. Facebook pixels were used to retarget website visitors or track website conversions. In 2015, Facebook decided these pixels were too complicated (hallelujah) and simplified Facebook pixels down to a single pixel. In fact, the old pixels will soon be eliminated, so we are determined to make the change ASAP.

What does this nifty little pixel do? We plan to use the Facebook pixel in 2 major areas: website custom audiences and custom conversions. First of all, the Facebook pixel is installed onto your website. Think about it like a tracker placed on your website. We now have the ability to advertise to your website visitors strategically through Facebook. Your website visitors can be separated into groups such as people who have visited in the last 24 hours, people who have visited once in the past month or people who visited a certain page on your website. Obviously, each of these groups need to be targeted differently, which is where the pixel comes into play and allows us to strategize how groups of people are advertised to. The next area we plan to use is custom conversion. This is key to making sure an advertising campaign is profitable. We will make sure the pixel is tracking particular conversion pages on your website. A conversion page is the last page a website visitor sees after making a conversion, which could be completing a contact form or purchasing a product. We are then able to track how much it cost to get that website visitor to make a conversion, therefore allowing us to see if we are receiving a good return on our investment.

Doesn’t cyberstalking sound wonderful? We think so! Let’s get you started ASAP and bring in those leads!
